ABOUT 

My name is Louise and I live in Rotterdam South. Photography has always been a big part of my life. As a photographer I don't want to take 'just' a picture. A photo should tell a story and in combination with text I want to draw attention to social challenges. Human beings at the centre of my work. I am convinced that a combination of photography and storytelling can make a difference and impact policy making. I witness what kind of impact my photo series has in the South of Rotterdam. In doing so, I gave residents of my neighborhood a face and showed the outside world that the neighborhood does not merely consists of problems. It is not that simple.

 

With my experience in the world of diplomacy, I love to connect with people in order to understand the other and also to gain trust. I don't want my clients to feel awkward in front of the camera, so connecting is very important. Who is that person? And what is his/her/their story? By doing so I put someone at ease and together we make the photo you want!

 

I work for clients with a social purpose, but also for private individuals or entrepreneurs who want a beautiful portrait of themselves.
